Hi all, Found out about this game from LAF. We just played our first game last night, no magic, just the basics to get the hang of it. We all found it pretty straight forward, lots of fun. Hopfully we can post some battle reports in the future. Our only question so far is about downed models. What happens when a downed model is attacked? Is there a benifit to attacking a downed model? Can a downed model fight back and down the attacker? Other then that I think we didn't have a single problem. Thanks Jason

pag 6 sacrificing a dreadskull token when a downed model is engaged in close combat (base to base contact) the owner can decide if restore or kill the model, this is not really clear 100%, seems that a downed model in close combat can't attack normally if not restored (so restored or killed immediately) pag 18 down result the model downed attacks normally if engaged in close combat (read can defend normally using dice). A downed model can't perform any other action. pag 16 attack table bonus/malus if you attack a model downed you gain +1 dice in attack pag 50 punding normally a downed model die if killed immediately or downed again (other than when sacrificed). so: - a downed model (read wounded) can defend normally if engaged - the attacker gains +1dice bonus - if the downed model loses the roll (also with margin 1) is killed. This one because if the model can't recoil is downed, and so if already downed is killed. A downed model can't move, so can't recoil - nothing stop a downed model to wound or kill an opponent in close combat (can happen! ;D) Optional rule: a downed model is always "off guard" also when scores hit: in short the attacker, if wins the combat, doubles its hits. Ahh, thanks for saving me some typing there!
I have rewritten the damage section in 1st ed, so its clearer.
Yep, in a nutshell, your model is no longer in play unless someone attacks it or you restore it. It can only defend itself. Opponents get +1 bonus dice. As a result, a downed dangerous model can still kill someone attacking it.
